Cults are not uncommon in Korea. Recently, there has been a rise in cultic activity in Korea. Beware of people inviting you to other “churches” or “Bible studies.” Here are a few red flags to detect cults:

1. Zealous commitment to the leader.
2. Doubts and questions are discouraged.
3. The group is elitist–they feel that they alone know the truth and will save the world.
4. There is an unhealthy amount of pressure in the recruitment process.
